Quote for Today and Everyday!

“It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice, if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood; if they be repealed or revised before they are promulgated, or undergo such incessant changes that no man who knows what the law is today can guess what it will be to-morrow.” –Federalist Paper No. 62

It seems this statement of principle is as relevant today as it was when it was made!  Our Bill of Rights and Constitution are documents based on the knowledge of the ages. Unlike today where legislation seems to be based on the whims of some crazy lunatic revolutionaries trying to resurrect failed socialistic governing policies.  Their limited recognition of past failures leads them to repeat them again and again but it will happen only if we the people allow them to succeed.

  1. It’s the arrogance of power and thinking that the people you’re supposed to be working for are actually your peons. That’s the virus in the Washington, and they don’t want to hear from the likes of you or me.

How dare you quote the Federalist Papers — so passe! Bunch of dead white guys!

Great quote, Ted. Wise men such as those do not exist in Washington…and maybe nowhere!
