“White Privilege”

I recently had a person on Facebook confess to her “white privilege”.  She is a beautiful girl…well, woman with a young son.  College educated and though I have not seen her for years, I remember her as a very sweet but whip smart person.  I have nothing against her wanting to help those that are underprivileged but the self immolation and pleading guilty for living her life and being “white” is in itself racist.  No one is guilty for their skin color.  This is what was used to perpetuate slavery and justify in slave owners minds that slaves were not really up to being free.  I find the whole premise to be abhorrent and is antithetic to the Martin Luther King message.  People like her are being used to promote the political message of Black Lives Matter Inc., an organization that is Marxist by their own admission.

Her confession is below in black.  My comments on her comments are in red.

THIS IS NOT OK. We, as white people, need to do better. It is our job to fix this. To demand justice for murdered black men and women.

Wow, you must adhere to the whole salvation as a group, not individual salvation. It is not “white people’s” job to demand justice for murdered black men and women. It is EVERYONE’S job as a civic duty to demand justice for ANY person regardless of skin color. Is it your job to demand justice murdered black men by black men or just black men murdered by white men? The stats are horrendous in the city of Chicago are you demanding this sort of crime stop in this city? Illinois has some of the strongest gun laws in the nation but that does not stop the carnage that occurs on a daily basis in that city.

You’d think that white people are murdering black people by the thousands but the statistics do not bear this out.

Black lives DO matter but no more and no less than white, brown, red or yellow people.

Black parents teach their children about racism and how to deal with it every single day.

This is a generality. How do they teach them to deal with it? Do they tell their kids that the PoPo are out to get them…to expect to be discriminated against? Isn’t this a self-fulfilling prophecy?

Larry Elder one of the wisest black men I know says: “My father taught me that if I was stopped by police, to keep my hands at 10 and 2 on the wheel. Say yes sir and no sir and to do what ever the police asked and not to argue with them. If they are doing something wrong, you bring it up later not at the stop.” (This might be slightly paraphrased.)

You say “black parents” You do know that … according to Afro.com “…more than one-third of all Black children in the United States under the age of 18 live with unmarried mothers—compared to 6.5 percent of White children. The figures reflect a general trend: During the 1960-2016 period, the percentage of children living with only their mother nearly tripled from 8 to 23 percent and the percentage of children living with only their father increased from 1 to 4 percent. “

Black boys and girls are growing up without fathers. Fathers teach their boys how to be men and how to treat women. Fathers teach their daughters what a man is supposed to be and how to be treated by men.

In the 1950’s and 60’s black families had a higher percentage of fathers in the home than white families.

Have you asked what happened to make this change? Do some research or just listen to some of Larry Elder’s you tube interviews…perhaps the Rubin Report’s interview with him.

We, as white adults, have NO EXCUSE not to do the same.

Jeeze…what in hell does that mean? White grandparents and kids and everyone in between are deluged every news cast about the blacks that killed by whites. There is never any news about the carnage perpetrated by blacks on blacks or blacks on whites, which is substantial. THAT is racist. Someone once called this the “soft bigotry of low expectations”.

“The poor black man cannot defend himself; he must be protected.” Black men, white men, yellow men and red men need one thing, unbiased justice. Each needs to be judged by their actions not the color of their skin. To do otherwise is racism.

When black men who commit crimes are covered up is not justice, cops getting away with murder is not justice no matter the skin color of the cop or the victim of the cop.

If we are not ACTIVELY anti-racist and calling out racism wherever we see it, we are complicit – benefiting from all of the privilege we are given AT THE EXPENSE OF BLACK PEOPLE’S LIVES.

I think it is plain that George Floyd was murdered by a cop. As a meme said on Facebook recently, “You see a black man murdered by a white cop” , I see an innocent victim murdered by a corrupt cop. We are not the same.”

I am ashamed at how long I’ve known that racism is alive and well without doing anything about it. Liking and reposting things from other people talking about things like George Floyd’s murder is not enough. It’s time for me to use the privilege that I’ve done nothing to earn to demand better.

Good grief…you’ve done nothing to earn your privilege? What privilege do you have that a black man or woman does not? And my question is why didn’t you earn it? If that is the case you should give ALL of your worldly goods away to those that did earn it because you stole it, but don’t suggest that the rest of us did not earn any privilege they have.

I suggest to you the only thing you have NOT earned is your “White Guilt”.

Because my white voice counts more to those with power. And I want to be someone who raises others up, lends my power to their cause, listens to what they tell me I need to do because they’ve been fighting this fight for generations.

Well, this is a good thing, I guess. Why do you have those low expectations about “black voices”. This sounds like “the soft bigotry of low expectations” to me. I would also say that “black” people such as Condoleezza Rice, Candace Owens are two black women that come to mind that have a much more powerful voice than your white voice.

If I sound angry, it’s because I am. And if you’re not, you may feel like you’re “not racist” but you are perpetuating a system in which the inevitable result is the persecution and murder of innocent people.

You are angry at whom? I suppose at yourself. You are so angry that you think everyone should what? Speak out to protect the poor people that can’t protect themselves? More soft bigotry? More white guilt?

I’ve been perpetuating it, too, but it’s time for all of us to do better.

If you are confessing, do it right. At trial if you are pleading guilty, a judge demands “allocution”. It is not enough to say you are guilty, WHAT are you guilty of? Specifics. Time Place Form and Event. START.

I am writing letters to my representatives. Calling officials to amplify the message that black people have been shouting for decades. Learning, and trying harder, and paying people for the work they have done to educate me.

You are writing your representatives to do what? What is that message? Do you want more hand outs for blacks? Reparations? What specifically to you want tax payers to do? If you are giving money to the fund you have set up, how much are you giving? How much do you need to give to buy your white privilege?

I hope you’ll do the same.

A good place to start is by following and PAYING some of the amazing black women who have been doing this work long before now. And for fuck’s sake, don’t go into their comments asking them to do the work for you.

The resources are there, so use them.
@ijeomaoulu @rachel.cargle @laylafsaad @kimberlecrens

(You sure have a high opinion of your friends telling them “don’t go into their comments asking them to do the work for you.”) That would insult me anyway.

OK. Who are these people? And why should I pay them? What are these amazing black women doing? If you tell me that they are activist and community organizers, sorry. This sort has done nothing for the black community other than convince them they are victims. If they are leading the way for reparations then, sorry no, unless they are advocating for reparations to come from Democrats.

It is Democrats that perpetrated slavery, it is Democrats that tried to stop Republicans (the party that was formed as an abolitionist party) from defeating slavery. ONLY Democrats owned slaves…NO Republicans did. It was Democrats that formed the KKK and hanged black men. It was Democrats that reinstated segregation in the armed forces. It was a Democrat President (Wilson) that reinvigorated the KKK, playing the movie “Birth of a Nation” in the Whitehouse.

I am sorry you’ve been misled and mal-educated in this subject. I know you’ve bought into the whole white privilege BS and it is making you miserable.

Everyone in the U.S. is privileged beyond belief to be here in this country…including all black people. We rise up to defend the innocent of all skin colors against bullies of all skin colors. What did Martin Luther King say in his “I Have a Dream” speech? That he wanted his children to be judged not by the color of their skin but the content of their character.”

I invite you, if you care about this, to stop judging whites and blacks by the color of their skin and start looking to the content of their character.

Larry Elder and Candace Owens both have You Tube videos you can watch to get some of the other side of this whole viewpoint. In fact, it was Larry Elder that woke Candace up about this whole scam. Candace now leads the Blexit movement to get blacks to abandon the Democrat party.

I suggest you start with Candace interviewing Larry…if you have more intellectual curiosity and integrity than you have anger at yourself for your “white privilege”…I really hope you do.
